*This Riverside project is part of a potential three-building campus that would offer activities and amenities to the Upper East Side neighborhood of Milwaukee, WI
The Riverside Amphitheater offers the neighborhood a local theater for guest performances buried into the woods at Riverside Park. My design is based off of the idea of compression and finds it form by pushing the sound outward. I wanted to give the visitors the feeling of being compressed and in a tight space in order to maximize acoustics. The building is constructed out of timber columns, beams, and panels to achieve a wilderness feel.
